NYPD search for five men accused of beating man outside of Queens bar
The victim sustained serious injuries to his head and lower back but is expected to be okay.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (WABC) -- Police are searching for five men accused of assaulting and injuring an employee at a night club in Queens.

The attack happened at 4 a.m. June 7 outside Romanticos Gentlemen Night Club on Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights.

Officials say the 36-year-old victim was trying to get five men to leave the bar.

The group surrounded him at knifepoint and began to punch, kick and stomp him. One suspect beat the victim with a wooden stick.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his head and lower back. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.

The suspects fled north along 78th Street toward 37th Avenue.

Police say the men were wearing black or navy blue T-shirts or shirts, black or blue pants and three of them were sporting black hats.
